I am lucky enough to have a rather large bedroom and I have been on the hunt for sometime for a chair/small settee to put in one corner, something I can curl up on and snuggle into with a book. You know for those times when you want to hang out in your room rather than the lounge but you don’t really want to sit on your bed because then you know you’ll just end up having a nap? So far, no luck. Until.. I stumbled upon Revival Furniture.
I think this little paragraph on their About page sums exactly what I thought when I first saw their furniture “We breathe life into quirky retro style furniture by upholstering it with brightly patterned vintage wool blankets. The result invigorates even the dullest of rooms. Revival Furniture has a voice that can spark a laugh and trigger a nostalgic moment. Our furniture makes you smile”. It sure does! And it is perfect! Only problem is… I love every piece which makes deciding which one I MUST HAVE rather difficult.
But I’m thinking this Old School Love Seat is the perfect size for my snuggling requirements.
And maybe this one for the lounge.. or the shop, or just anywhere I can find to put it/justify buying it.
Revival Furnishing is a New Zealand company devised by Elizabeth Cottrell, born in Atlanta USA, who moved to Taihape in 1983. Elizabeth combined two of her loves, iconic NZ blankets and vintage furniture to create this unique company, something Rose and I can relate to.
I’m back to the Revival Website to keep drooling…
